cool TechNet stay informed 100% in one place tool

The other day while surfing around chaotically trying to discover Office 2010 launch information, …somewhere (not sure right now) I downloaded something called the Microsoft Desktop Player. Now with a spare minute or two of weekend time I’ve installed and launched it. This may very well be a silver bullet of information on TechNet information including events, webcasts, podcasts, whitepapers, and who is my current local Microsoft go to community guru aka ‘evangelist’ (Matt Hester), where the local office is, and great links. …this is pretty cool

Ok, now Google’d I have found that you can just view it online without installation but also you will find a link there if you want.  My guess is that the advantage of the downloaded is you can save the webcasts for repeated viewings along with saving your settings.
