If you are using SharePoint Services 3.0 you know that it has native functionality built in that offers the icons and click to open capability for Office 2007 files. However, if you are one of those sods who is using SBS 2003 R2 or the prequel and are having a hard enough time just learning to leverage SharePoint 2.0 let alone deploy SharePoint 3.0 side-by-side or even on another machine then you might like to know this information.
I have found a couple of resourses I am vetting out and so I’ll make this post a Part I of a hopefully short series on this subject.
The two sources I’ve located are:
- a blog by a German guy with a bad bowl haircut who looks like hes in the Brady Bunch Hollywood Squares-ish intro torso shot.
- comments are worth browsing too
